The release of the JEE Main Results 2024 is a big moment for students who dream of becoming engineers. The National Testing Agency has announced the results of this challenging exam, highlighting the achievements of many students. The toppers list includes an impressive 56 candidates who have scored a perfect 100 percentile, showing their outstanding performance in the test.
Telangana stands out in this year's results, with 15 of its students achieving the prestigious 100 percentile. Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra follow closely, with each contributing 7 top scorers, while Delhi boasts 6 achievers on this esteemed list.
This year's exam was conducted in a variety of languages, reflecting India's linguistic diversity. Candidates could choose from 13 languages, including Urdu, Bengali, Assamese, Malayalam, Gujarati, Tamil, Punjabi, and more.
The JEE Main 2024 Session 2 took place in 571 examination centres across 319 cities, including 22 international locations. Similarly, Session 1 covered about 544 centres in 291 cities, making it easier for candidates to participate in the exam.
NTA scores are normalised across multiple sessions to provide a fair assessment of candidates' performance compared to their peers. The percentile score indicates where a student stands among all the candidates, showing the percentage of examinees who achieved equal to or lower scores.
The meticulous process ensures that the top scorer in each session receives the coveted 100 percentile, maintaining fairness. Additionally, converting raw scores into percentiles helps in understanding students' performance better.
